Candy Cottage

House. Late C18 and early C19. Hammer-dressed watershot
stone with graduated stone slate roof. Single-depth house
with two bays and two storeys. Bay two predates bay one and has
quoins and a 5-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion
window on each floor, that to ground floor retaining 8-pane
casements. Bay one has door to right, a 2-light ground floor
and a 5-light first floor flat-faced stone mullion window. Two
ridge chimney stacks. Rendered right gable. 2-light window
to left gable. Rear has a 3-light chamfered mullion window
with unusual small arched light above, a 3-light flat-faced
mullion window, a blocked window and a door at first floor
level with dressed surround.
