- Ballgrove
House. Mid and late C18. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with
C20 roof covering. Double-depth plan with 2 bays and 3
storeys. C20 lean-to porch obscures a door with square-cut
surround. Bay 1 has quoins and dates from mid C18: it has a
4-light ground floor window and 3-light first floor with
double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullions. Bay 2, added
later, has a 4-light recessed flat-faced ground floor window
and a 5-light flat-faced first floor window. The second
floor workshop was added still later and has a 12-light
window. Gable chimney stack. 2-light gable windows and 3, 4
and 5-light windows to rear which has a blocked taking-in
door and a small C20 extension.
