- Farmhouse and
adjoining barn
Farmhouse and barn. "RW BW 1760" (Whitehead) on door lintel
but with additions of the later C18. Hammer-dressed
watershot stone with graduated stone slate roof. Originally
a 2-storey 2-bay house but with a bay added to right and a
barn to left which extends to the front of bay 1 as an
outshut and has a cart entry in the angle. The barn has
quoins and an elliptical-arched cart entry. Bay 2 has a 4-
light double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullion window on the
ground floor and a 6-light window on the first floor dating
from when the eaves were raised. Bay 3 (a later addition)
obscures the former gable entrance with dated door lintel,
has a door to left with dressed surround, and a 6-light
recessed flat-faced stone mullion window with king mullions
on each floor. 2 ridge chimney stacks, one of which is
rendered. Small single storey addition to right.
