Listing Text

SD 90 NE (east side)
3/286 Nos. 25 and 27
2 cottages. Late C18. Watershot hammer-dressed stone with
slate roof. Each cottage is double-depth with 2 storeys.
Each has a C20 porch which obscures the doors which have
square-cut surrounds, 2-light ground floor windows and 6-
light first floor windows all with recessed flat-faced stone
mullions. Quoins and central ridge chimney stack (now
rendered). The rear has a total of four 6-light windows as
above. Included for group value.
