House. Mid to late C17. Hammer-dressed stone in narrow
courses with graduated stone slate roof. 2-unit plan with 2
storeys and small wing to right. Projecting plinth and
quoins. 3, 2 and 2-light double-chamfered cavetto-moulded
mullion ground floor windows each with a hoodmould and 2
under a continuous hoodmould which has initials IW
(Winterbottom) on the stops. Door in additional gabled bay
to right. First floor windows are C20 in date as are the
gable windows. Kneelers have been re-used as eaves corbels
and the eaves have at some time been raised. Rear has two 2-
light windows (as above) with continuous hoodmould and a
blocked door with square-cut surround. Interior much altered.
