Burn Farmhouse and adjoining barn

Laithe-house. Mid C18. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with
graduated stone-slate roof. 2-bay 2-storey plan with barn
and shippon to left and continuous outshut to rear of entire
range. The house has a central door with raised dressed
surround and small blocked overlight. Bay one has a 4-light
window on each floor, bay two, a 5-light, all with recessed
chamfered stone mullions. Much of the barn and shippon (and
right gable) have been rebuilt in the C20 including the
segmental-arched cart entry.
