4/23 Birshaw House
- II
House. Early C19. Dressed stone with slate roof. Double-
depth central-staircase plan with 3 bays and 2 storeys.
Plinth, rusticated quoins and eaves cornice. Central door
has ornate radial fanlight and flat hood on consoles. 2
ground floor and 3 first floor windows with square-cut stone
surrounds and sash windows (no glazing bars). One has been
replaced bya C20 casement. Ripped roof. 4 tall chimney
stacks on the side walls. Similar windows to sides.
