House, now offices. Mid C19. Flemish bond brick with stone
dressings and slate roof. L-shaped plan with 3 x 3 bays and
two storeys. Classical style. Projecting plinth, first floor
sill band and eaves cornice with Ionic modillions.
Rusticated quoins. The central bay is advanced and
pedimented and has a flat-roofed porch with round-arched
openings on each side, corner pilasters and modillioned
entablature. Two ground and three first-floor windows with eared
architraves, flat hoods, 4-pane sashes and enriched brackets
to the first floor only. Hipped roof with ridge chimney
stacks. Similar windows to side elevations. Built for Henry
Warmsley, mill owner.
