Terrace of cottages. Late C18. Hammer-dressed stone with
graduated stone slate roof and brick stacks. Each cottage
has 3 storeys, 1 bay, is double-depth and has a workshop
(now No. 19) running the full length of the upper floor.
No. 1 is of 3 bays, 2 of which have 2 storeys and are of a
later date than the rest and have 16-pane sash windows and a
canted ground floor bay window. Each other cottage has a
door and 3-light casement window in square-cut surrounds to
the ground and first floors. Nos. 3 to 9 have two 2-light
flat-faced mullion windows to the second floor whereas Nos.
11 to 17 each have a similar 4-light window. Ridge chimney
stacks. No. 3 enlarged ground floor windows, No. 9 the
mullions have been removed and No. 15 has the mullion
windows blocked. The rear has various 2-light casement and
mullion windows and separate doors to the workshop level.
