House and 2 cottages with workshop on top floor, formerly
used as a school. Late C18. Hammer-dressed stone with
graduated stone slate roof. Double-depth l-bay house to
right; back-to-back cottages to left. The second storey is
a single workshop with separate access at the rear. Central
door with square-cut surround is flanked on ground and first
floors by 5-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows.
5 and 7-light flat-faced mullion windows to second floor.
The doors to the cottages which slightly post-date No. 18
are on the gable as well as a 2, 4 and 5-light recessed
flat-faced stone mullion window. Similar windows to rear
which has a flight of stone steps giving access to workshop.
One brick and 1 stone ridge chimney stacks.
