Farmhouse, 2 cottages and adjoining shippon and barn. Late
C17 (no. 3) with C18 additions to either side. Squared
rubble, watershot stone and graduated stone slate roof. Long
single-depth range with 2 storeys which includes a shippon
and barn at the right end. Projecting plinth. No. 3 has a
plain door to the right, two 4-light ground floor windows
and 3 and 4-light first floor windows all with chamfered
stone mullions (and with a total of 5 mullions missing).
Nos. 1 and 2 were added to the left and have various windows
including 4 and 3-light flat-faced mullions and a C20 bow.
Moorgate Farmhouse has a central door with moulded surround
and 2, 3 and 5-light flat-faced mullion windows (with
several mullions removed). Segmental-arched cart entry with
keystone to barn which has additions to right and lean-to to
front. Brick ridge chimney stacks. Interiors retain
chamfered floor beams.
