Toll bar cottage. c.1800. Hammer-dressed stone with
graduated stone slate roof. 1 x 2 rooms deep with 1 storey
(2 at the rear), gable onto road and C20 additions to left.
Verges project markedly above the gable. The central door
has a pointed arch, fanlight and square-cut stone surround.
Sash windows to either side are detailed similarly. Rendered
ridge chimney stack.
