House. Early to mid C18 with later C18 additions and alterations. Hammer dressed rubble
in courses, graduated stone slate roof, a stone gable end stack. Two storeys and attic
with later C18 barn added on north side when attic storey heightened to provide weaving
floor across full width. Entrance doorway with shallow, open C20 porch in widened west
gable end wall. South wall has two flat-faced stone mullioned windows of 3-lights to
left and 2-lights to right on each main floor: a mullion removed from lower left and upper
right windows and fitted with C20 casements; small sashes in other window lights. In west
end gable end wall a similar 2-light mullioned casement to right on first floor, a similar
3-light casement to attic in apex of gable with left hand light blocked for flue of
stack. In the east gable end wall a blocked doorway at first floor from higher road level at
east: original external entry to stair to attic floor. A pitching doorway with boarded
door to barn extension on right. On north side a double garage door in former entry to
barn. Interior: Exposed bridging beams, board partitions, original joinery.
