Inn and stables, now house and doctor's surgery. Late C18.
Header bond brick with slate roof. Double-depth plan with a
total of 4 bays an 2 storeys and former stable wing to
rear. 4-panel door in bay 2 with overlight, pilasters and
flat hood. Total of 2 paired sash windows and 3 single sash
windows all with stone sills, cambered brick arches and no
glazing bars. C19 canted bay window in bay 4. 3 of the 5
sash windows in the gable end (which is rendered) retain
glazing bars. 3 ridge chimney stacks. Lower stable wing to
rear. The buildng was used as an inn till 1848 and was
considered a place where gospel tracts might be left by the
