to Summit (railway)
- Tunnel

Tunnel entrance. Opened 1841 by the Manchester Leeds
Railway Co. Engineer, G Stephenson. Ashlar and rock-faced stone. Horse
shoe arch with radial rustication to the voussoirs. 2 bold bands run
at parapet level.
