Farmhouse. C17 timber-framed structure with substantial
rebuilding of parts in C18. Rendered masonry walls which
incorporate much of the timber-framed structure, the extent
of which is unknown. Slate roof. 4 bays and 2 storeys with
gabled crosswing to right and C19 lean-to addition to right
return. Bay 1 is a C19 addition to the original 3-bay
structure which has a projecting stone plinth and a door
with fanlight in bay 3. None of the window openings are
original,all containing C20 casement windows. 3 ridge
chimney stacks. The framing of both of the original end
walls and one crosswall are all visible internally. Brick
nogging and wattle and daub are found in the panels which
are roughly square. The principal posts are diagonally
braced and support diagonally braced tie-beam roof trusses
all of which are original to the structure. C19 staircase.
