Public House. Datestone reads: "RLI/IL 1700". Plaster with
applied timber-frame design, probably on dressed stone, with
brick stacks, slate roof. 3 storeys, 2 bays. Base to ground
floor sill level. Windows to ground and 1st floors have 4-
light C20 casements, 2nd floor has 5-light ovolo-mullioned
windows. Central entrance has datestone over. Left return
has lost some plaster revealing stone rubble wall and
bricked-up lights. Gable-end stacks. Rear has sashed stair
window and 1st floor ovolo-mullioned windows. Interior has
ovolo-moulded beams to ground and 1st floors. Stair has
close string, with pulvinated frieze,twisted balusters, some
boxed in, and moulded hand rail. 1st floor room has
fireplace with flanking pilasters, fielded panel over and
dentilled cornice, possibly has cupboards to sides, now
covered over. Some 2-fielded-panel doors with bolection
moulding and strap hinges.
