Terrace with its own private road parallel to public road.
1860s. Brick and stucco, slate roof. 3 bays to each house,
and 2 bays at each end form returns to Nos. 44 and 74. 5
bays at each end and central 12 bays break forward with
rusticated quoins. Stucco ground floor with entablature,
cornice over 1st floor, top cornice and ramped blocking
course. Windows have architraves, ground floor ones with
aprons, 1st floor ones with friezes and consoled cornices
with antefixae. Some sashes, no glazing bars, some
casements. Projecting bays: Ground floor tripartite sashes
in segmental-headed openings, 1st floor round-headed
windows. Round-headed entrances with Doric porches with
Ionic entablatures. Other bays: ground floor round-headed
windows, others straight headed. Paired round-headed
entrances with pilasters and entablatures. Iron railings to
areas and steps have decorative heads. Nos. 44 and 74 have
projecting 2-bay returns with Doric porches and 3-storey bow
windows. No.72 has one 2nd floor rectangular oriel.
