2 houses. Shown on a map of 1835. Brick with stone
dressings, slate roof. 3 storeys with basement 2 bays to
each house. 1st floor sill band and top cornice and
blocking course. Windows have wedge lintels and are sashed
without glazing bars. Round-headed entrances with Doric
doorcases. Area railings have anthemion heads. No. 229 has
4-panel door.
