Jewish Cemetery Screen with front railings

Screen wall and entrance to cemetery.1836.Stucco and stone.Greek revival. Channelled rustication,entablature and blocking course.Central round-headed gateway has archivolt and applied Doric aedicule,the architrave of which bears the inscription:"HERE THE WEARY ARE AT REST'followed by Hebrew characters.The ends have flat pilasters supporting a break forward in the entablature, the frieze of which has five wreaths.Panels between the pilasters.To the front are decorative iron railings with spear heads,paired gates with panelled gate piers at each end.
