c.1845. Stable block. H.L. Elmes. Coursed rubble and
hipped slate roof. Italianate style. 2 storeys. 8 bays,
4th bay projects under open pediment, 1st floor sill band,
and top frieze and cornice. Ground floor keyed lintels and
sashes, no glazing bars; 1st floor casements. Square-headed
coach doorway and round-arched window above, extending into
pediment. Attached at rear is small tower of belvedere
type, with angle pilasters, round-headed openings with
imposts and keyed archivolts; deep, corbelled cornice and
hipped roof.
