Tunnel ventilation system.
1925-34, Sir Basil Mott and J.A. Brodie with Herbert J.Rowse
as architect. Built as part of the Mersey Road Tunnel.
Brick block with 2 framed entrances and bands of brick
decoration at top and bottom, and 3 ventilation slits. 2
towers to rear with decorative brick work and copper coving.
