House. Early C19. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof.
3 storeys with basement, 4 bays, 3 bays to Canning Street.
Stone lintel band to basement, 1st floor sill course to 1st
bay and Canning Street facade. Top frieze, cornice and
blocking course. 1st 2 bays project; the 2nd bay is bowed.
Windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars.
3rd bay entrance projects and has architraves, angle
pilasters and cornice. Complete fanlight and 4-panel door.
Plain iron area railings. Return to Canning Street has 2
blind windows to 1st and 2nd floors. Casements to ground
floor windows. Entrance to No. 49A has Ionic columns and
