Terrace of 9 houses. 1914. By J. Lomax Simpson. Roughcast
on brick base to sill level, some brick, hipped tile roofs. 2
storeys, 6 bays, with 3-bay return wing to left. 3rd and 4th
bays break forward under pedimented gables, 6th bay projects
under hipped roof, all with brick to ground floors and quoins.
Top cornice, gables have wreaths and festoons. Windows have
small-paned casements, those to ground floor have brick heads
with keys, most of 4 lights, that to 1st bay of 3 lights. 1st
floor windows have eared architraves of 3:3:4:4:4:3-lights.
Entrances have flat canopies and small-paned lights to half-
glazed doors. Left return has 1st bay projecting and 2nd bay
breaking forward under pedimented gables; 3rd bay has ground
floor recessed behind 2-bay Tuscan colonnade. 1st bay has 4-
light canted oriel with ogival base and tented lead roof to
1st floor. Right return has projecting bay with 2-storey
canted bay window and re-entrant porch. 6 stacks. Rear
