Terrace of 4 houses. c.1856. For James and George Wilson.
Brick with hipped slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 bays, end bays
break forward. Windows have gauged-brick cambered arches
and are sashed with glazing bars, end bays have rectangular
bay windows with hipped roofs and small-paned casements, now
altered. Entrances have gauged-brick cambered arches,
overlights with glazing bars and 4-flush-panel doors.
Returns have C20 flat-roofed projections. 3 cross-axial
stacks. Rear lean-to wings. Part of a planned village for
Price's Patent Candle Company, one of the earliest examples
of a model industrial village.
