House. 1893. By Douglas and Fordham. Timber-frame on
stone base, brick stack and tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 x 2
bays. 1st floor jettied on decorated brackets. Decorated
bressumer and bargeboards. Windows have leaded casements,
those to ground floor of 4 lights with decorative heads, 3-
light windows to 1st floor and 2-light attic window. Gable
has finial of figure supporting weather vane. Left return
has 2-storey gabled porch to 2nd bay, 1st bay has projecting
lateral stack, the shaft with zig-zag brick pattern in tall
recesses, single light to left. Porch has entrance with
Tudor head, carved spandrels and inscription recording date
of building, plank door with strap hinges.
