Includes No. 5 Windy Bank. Terrace of 9 houses. 1926. By
J. Lomax Simpson. Timber-framing on brick base, brick
stacks and stone slate roofs. 2 storeys, 5-bay centre has
end projecting gabled bays with jettied 1st floor between,
flanking 2-bay projecting wings canted forward, the inner
bays with gables to right, the outer bays projecting further
forward and gabled. 2-bay returns to Windy Bank and Queen
Mary's Drive have timber-framed 1st floors jettied over
roughcast ground floor. Some gables have decorative
timbering and are jettied, some canted ground floor angles.
Windows have leaded casements of 2, 3 and 4 lights, one-
half-canted bay window to 2nd bay. Entrances have doors with
small-paned lights to centre; ends have doors with leaded
lights and cambered lintels. 6 stacks. Rear roughcast,
gabled 1st floor.
