Terrace of 8 houses. 1895. By Grayson and Ould. Brick with
stone dressings, tile roofs. One storey with attic, 8 bays
with 9th and 10th bays each recessed by one bay. 1st 2 bays
break forward under hipped roof, central and end bays
project under gables. Weathered stone base, Lombard frieze
over ground floor, diapered band to projecting bays. Ground
floor windows have chamfered stone lintels and leaded
casements of one and 2 lights. 1st floor has leaded
casements; central bay has paired 3-light canted oriels, end
bays have paired 2-light windows, all with tile-hung gables
swept out as canopies. Other bays have gabled dormers, most
of 2 lights, that to 2nd bay of 4 lights. Entrances have
stone surrounds and plank doors with leaded lights. 5 cross-
axial stacks. 9th and 10th bays similar, 9th bay has 4-light
canted oriel, return lateral stack and gabled bay. 10th bay
has half-hipped roof, return has crow-stepped gable, dormer,
cross-axial and rear stacks. Rear has gables to end bays and
gabled and flat-topped dormers; privies.
