Lodge. 1895. By Grayson and Ould. Banded red and buff
stone, timber framing, shingling and tile gambrel roof. One
storey with attic, 3-bays, 2nd bay is canted, with shingled
1st floor and pyramidal roof, 3rd bay projects under gable
with timber-framed 1st floor. Clasping buttress to left-
hand angle. Windows have leaded glazing. 1st bay has
round-headed window, 2nd bay has small lights, 3rd bay has
4-light canted bay with hipped roof. 2nd bay to 1st floor
has small 2-light casements, 3rd bay has 4-light window with
king mullion and transom. Left return has timber-framed
gable and 4-light double-chamfered-mullioned window to
ground floor, 6-light window to 1st floor; round-headed
entrance. Right return has projecting lateral stack with
diagonal shafts.
