Includes No. 2 Lancots Lane. Chapel c.1850s. Squared
industrial waste with brick-faced front and stone dressings,
slate roof. 2 round-headed windows with alternate stone
voussoirs and small-paned fixed glazing. Central round-
headed entrance with alternate stone voussoirs; inset Tuscan
doorcase has paired doors with fielded panels. Blank stone
plaque in gable. 4-bay returns have windows with flat stone
surrounds and latticed iron glazing; stone quoins to south
end. House to rear, No. 2 Lancots Lane, of 2 storeys and one
gabled bay. Small sashed windows and entrance with C20 door
to right of small brick lean-to. Left return has small
ground floor window. Rear has brick end stack and one-storey
lean-to bay. The building is one of only 2 in St. Helens to
be built of industrial waste (q.v. Holy Trinity, Traverse
