Gate house. Mid C19 with C20 extensions to returns. Brick
with stone dressings, slate roof with fish scale bands. 3
bays, the central bay of 2 storeys, flanking bays of one
storey with attic. Central bay breaks forward, with angle
pilaster strips and bracketed frieze and cornice. Flanking
bays have quoins and cornice. Windows are round-headed with
stone surrounds, keys and sashes with margin lights.
Central bay 1st floor paired windows; flanking round-headed
dormers with stone surrounds and ball finials; casements
with margin lights. Central round-arched entrance gateway
with archivolt and jewelled keystone; cast iron gates.
Spandrels have ribbands and shields, that to left with
Blundell arms; cornice over. Central bay has pyramidal roof
with spike finial and 4 angle stacks, flanking bays have
hipped roofs and spike finials.
