Public house. Early C19. Brick with stone dressings, slate
roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Top frieze and cornice. Windows
have wedge lintels and tripartite sashes with glazing bars.
Central round-headed entrance has panelled pilasters,
complete fanlight and 6-panel door. Signs of some removed
feature, possibly window, above entrance. Gable-end stacks.
Large wing to rear has wedge lintel on east side inscribed
"M. BOWKER/AD 1826". C20 extension to west. Interior has
small rooms; dog-leg stair with stick balusters.
