Circa 1840. Brick with stucco dressings; slate roof. Two storeys; each house
of 2 bays with a through passage between Nos 56 and 57. Ground floor with
architrave framed tripartite sash windows with rosette studded frieze flanked
by consoles to cornice and with pediment blocking course. First floor side
band. First floor with sashes in reveals with frieze and cornice similar
to those of the ground floor except the blocking course. Flat boxed eaves.
Round arched entrances containing doorcases with reeded slender columns and
reeded arch over the fanlight.
