Includes Nos l, 2 and 3 King Alfred's Place. Mid C19. Brick. Three
storeys; 3 bays. Ground floor painted and with central arched entrance
within altered surround and 2 altered sash windows. First and second floors
each with 3 windows, those of the first floor tall and perhaps altered.
All windows sashes with heavy cornices on elongated brackets and with glazing
bars, marginal on the second floor. Elaborate dentilled cornice and parapet.
On the east return a 13-bay facade of similar though simplified motifs, the
arched entrances in unaltered surrounds and the windows without cornices
on brackets and with marginal glazing bars.
