Circa 1855-60 Gothic villa. Two storeys red brick with engineering brick and stucco
dressings. Asymmetrical with steeply gabled cross wing with large pierced and fretted
bargeboards and smaller plain bargeboards gable set back with small triangular oriel,
above gabled porch. Canted bay to cross wing with 2 light window on first floor
divided by colonette and with ornately modelled leaf stops to dripmould of blind
pointed arch. Spherical triangle attic light. Slate roof with overhanging eaves.
Picturesque coarse design but more expressive in its use of Gothic detail than the
usual house in this style for this date.
