C1835-40 two storey stucco villa, probably detached as built but with slightly
later No 47 abutting. Symmetrical 3 bay front, the centre with entrance slightly
advanced. Plinth; chanelled ground floor; first floor sill course. Low
pitch gable end slate roof with flat eaves; later brick chimney stack. First
floor windows in architrave surrounds with aprons to sill course. The central
window has an Egyptianised architrave studded with rosettes; revealed sashes,
glazing bars intact. Ground floor has 2 C1860 canted bay windows with saw
tooth cornices. Door recess in architrave flanked by engaged Greek Doric
columns, entablature with guttae string, wreaths in frieze and projecting
cornice; panelled reveals soffit and door.
