Dated on rainwater heads 1911. A substantial works with a two storeyed front of ten bays. Built of good quality red brick with some gaults but with luxuriant ochre terracotta dressings in Edwardian Baroque. The two storeys of fenestration are contained within a full height arcade but from impost level up to the parapet, all is faced in terracotta. Scrolls are set on caps of the piers and keystones are carried up in the modillion brackets of the coved cornice. The centre two bays are emphasised by slight breaks in the cornice and a raised section of parapet but the terracotta work is principally lavished on the end bays with banding to the piers and tall sections of parapet with richly modelled swagged garlands over the large keystones, hanging from scrolls in the centre of the cornice mouldings. The office entrance is contained in the right hand end bay with architrave surround, garlanded keystone and projecting cornice.
