Circa 1897, by W Alexander Harvey, altered. Two gabled blocks at right angles to
the road with a cross wing at the back. The left-hand block 2-storeyed, the right-
hand one of 2 storeys plus attic, with the upper storeys jettied. Ground floor with
red brick; upper storeys with timber-framing and roughcast infill and, that on the
right, a little tile hanging; tiled roofs. In the left-hand block an asymmetrically
placed 3-light ground floor window with central 5-light window above. Both windows
are wooden casements with glazing bars. A modem ehopfmnt links this block with
that on the right. First floor canted bay window with side lights and dentilled
cornice carried on corbels with grotesques carved by Benjamin Creswick and, in the
gable, a 4-light casement window. Both window with leaded lights. The entrance on
the right-hand return of this block where 2 chimney stacks rise sheer from the ground
and through cross-gables.
