Corner site with Gopsal street. Crica 1840-50 public house. Three storeys
red brick with stucco trim. Three bays to both elevations with lower 2 storey
wing to Gopsal Street. First floor sill band to both fronts. Hipped slate
roof with flat eaves. Corniced brick chimney stacks. Panelled pilaster public
house fronts to both elevations under deep entablature. Panelled risers to
windows with late C19 leaded glazing. Corner entrance and 2 seondary doors.
Windows on upper floors have revealed glazing bar sashes in architrave surrounds,
those on first floor with consoles to sills and cornices with blocking course,
the centre first floor window on each front pedimented. Five bay wing has
blind windows and central segmental carriage arch. stucco eaves band. Steeper
pitch of roof over right hand bays.
