Circa 1830. Two pairs of semi-detached houses either side of a lower wall
with stable entrances and subsidiary doors. Stucco; slate roofs. In a Grecian
style. Each pair 2 storeys; 4 bays. Ground floor with banded rustication
and a window, a pair of doors with fanlights and flanked by pilasters supporting
a single shallow pediment with acanthus brackets and a miniscule wreath and
than another window. First floor with 4 windows sitting on a sill band with
intermittent acanthus type brackets. All windows sashes with glazing bars,
those of the ground floor slightly taller than those of the first floor and
all within plain surrounds with shallow pediments with miniscule wreaths on
brackets slightly different on the 2 floors. No 929. Windows with later
marginal glazing. No 921. Re-roofed and with a modern doorcase and modern
windows some with shutters. No 923. Rendered and with ground floor rustication,
doorcase and window pediments removed. Nos 921 and 923 with their coupled
door surround gone and listed for group value only.
