Circa 1850 purpose built works with offices and display rooms. Main block of
3 tall storeys painted brick with stucco drawings and a lower 3 storey painted
brick wing following the curve of the street line. The main block has chanelled
quoin pilasters, first and second floor sill bands, prominent cornice and low
parapet. 1:7:1 close set window bays. Ground floor windows contained by shallow
steep frames curved down to include panelled risers beneath sills, plain consoles
to heads supporting block cornices. First floor windows in similar surrounds
rising from sill band, moulded cornices, the end windows with segmental pediments.
Second floor windows have eaved architraves. Sash windows, most retaining glazing
bars. The curved fronted wing has the first floor sill band curved over from the
main block. Shallow flat eaves to slate roof. Range of camber arched glazing
bar sashes. Some later ground floor openings.
