C16/C17 timber framed house adapted as 3 tenements C1800 (one demolished to
west). One storey and attic with C1800 brick facing but still leaving wall
posts exposed. Gable end C19 tiled roof. Two small gable dormers on wall
plate. Two early to mid C19 modest shop windows, that to No 25 retaining
moulded frame; plain doorways. One truss and wall posts exposed to south
gable end (since demolition of No 27) ridge post supported by principals
with heavy tie beam, raked struts to collar, back purlins,jowled heads to
posts, all pegged.
