C1840-50, a 3 storey passage entrance pair of houses presenting a 3 bay
symmetrical front, adapted to works use in the second half of the C19 with
shopping to the rear. Red brick with stucco dressings. Brick eaves band
to low pitch slate roof. Revealed sash windows altered on ground floor,
the right hand window broader than rest, glazing bars intact first floor.
Block sills and console brackets to thin cornices with blocking courses
on all floors. Central doorway with engaged Tuscan columns, entablature
and blocking course. Two wings of shopping to rear with iron framed small
pane windows. Doorways in passage.
