C1880 purpose built works and showroom. An unusual Gothic elevation for
Birmingham, of brick and terracotta and symmetrical but with an ogee arched
French flavour. Four bays on 3 storeys. The terracotta chimneys have been
painted. Doors flank the 2 ground floor windows, all set in splayed reveals
the upper parts and arches of terracotta with moulded shallow 4 centred heads.
Dripmoulds over linked on floral stops and ogee arched and finialed over
doorways. The latter retain original tongue and groove panelled floors.
First floor windows similarly arcaded but all with ogee heads and linked
dripmoulds with crocket finials. The top floor windows one of 2 lights set
in a mullioned arcade the mullions dropping below the sill course. Moulded
eaves and hipped slate roof with crocketed finials flanking ridge tiles.
