Late C18. A good red brick small mansion. 3 storeys. Facade has slightly projecting
3-windowed central bay surmounted by dentilled pediment which encloses circular
window; 5 sash windows overall with cambered and channelled lintels having flat
soffites, the central in moulded stone architrave with segmental pediment; sill
bands; Tuscan column small portico with triglyph frieze and modillion pediment;
doorway in panelled reveals with enriched semi-circular fanlight, multi-panelled
door and stone steps up; moulded stone eaves cornice, parapet. 3-windowed returned
side to east with Venetian window at centre. Interior not inspected but understood
to be largely unaltered and contain good staircase. Early or mid C19 out-buildings
set back at right and left returned sides, the former with hipped slate roof,
glazed lantern and wind vane. The left-hand block is dilapidated but retains
parapet pierced by stone framed quatrefoil openings. Both blocks, which have
splayed ends to front are linked to house by brick screen walls. These are part
concave on plan and contain semi-circular headed niches.
