Cottage. Late C16 timber box frame encased externally in early C19 brick with later
rendering. Brick dentil eaves cornice. Plain tile roof. Coped R.H gable. Brick L.H
gable stack and a ridge stack. 1½ storeys, 3 window front. R.H bay, possibly an
addition to original cottage. Entrance doorway between first and second windows on
left with brick porch under lean-to-roof. Ground floor windows have segmental arched
heads. 2 and 3-light C20 casements to both floors. Internally, exposed posts, beams
and joists; cross frame trusses with queen struts. Some timbers show evidence of
re-use from an earlier building.
