Public house. Probably late C17 (said to have been licenced 1660). Painted brick
with tile roof. L-plan. Two storeys. Wing projecting towards street has
front wall with late C19 timber entablature on consoles, a mid-C20 bow
window to the left and a door to the right. On the first floor is a timber
canted bay window of early C19 type, containing sashes with glazing bars.
Roof hipped at front. Chimneys on right-hand wall. The left-hand return
wall has, on the first floor, a boxed sash with glazing bars at the left
and a 3-light casement window glazing bars at the right. The left-hand
wing has two casements with glazing bars on the first floor.
