Shops. Mid-C18. Brick in Flemish bond with some painted stone dressings
and slate roof. Three storeys, six bays. Facade has brick pilaster strips
at left, and to right of fifth bay. Sixth bay appears to be a later addition
in a similar style. On the ground floor are shop fronts, with a C19 door
and window in the right-hand bay and a tunnel entrance in the left-hand
bay. The latter has an elliptical arch with chamfered false voussoirs.
The windows to the upper floors have stone sills. Those on the first floor
have stepped lintels with decorated keystones. The first floor windows of
bays 4 and 5 are sashed with glazing bars. The sixth bay has a sashed
window. On the second floor bays 4, 5 and 6 have 6-pane sashes. Plastered
modillion cornice. Chimney at left.
