West Bromwich
5/45 No 172 (Mary Spooner House)

House. Early to mid-C19. Stuccoed brick with slate roof. A symmetrical
composition of two storeys and three bays. The ground floor has channelled
rustication and the outer bays on the first floor are flanked by paired
pilasters and have pediments. The ground floor windows are C20 with glazing
bars and have segmental heads. The first floor windows are sashed with glazing
bars and have architraves. The central window has a round head. The doorcase
has pilasters supporting a lintel decorated with three wreaths and with a cornice.
