House. Early C16 with late C17 front and later additions. Timber-framed
with facade of brick in Flemish bond and tile roof. Original plan had
central two-storey hall with cross-wings. Two storeys with attics. Four
bays, with gables over outer bays which have attic windows, and gabled
dormer above centre section. Storey band, and bands above first floor
windows of outer bays. Two ground floor windows in left hand bay. Ground
floor window of second bay within blocked doorway. Door to right of third
bay. Chimneys on end walls, with projecting stacks. At the rear some close-
studding is exposed and there is a truncated chimney stack to the hall.
Interior: said to have evidence for continuous jetty at front, an early C17
carved overmantel, and some panelling. Plan in VCH p 23.
